Trucking isn’t going to decarbonize on slogans. Caravan’s environmental program is fleet engineering, driver policy, and route optimization — measured against real fuel and emissions numbers.

Operating commitment

Less fuel, fewer empty miles, quieter terminals.

Caravan invests in aerodynamic tractors — Freightliner Cascadia and equivalent aero-pack equipment — across the line-haul fleet. Aero kits, low-rolling-resistance tires, and engine calibration aren’t marketing; they’re how a trucking company actually reduces grams of CO₂ per ton-mile.

Idle policy and route optimization handle what equipment can’t. Drivers run with auxiliary power for cab comfort, dispatch routes to minimize deadhead miles, and terminal operations consolidate freight so trucks leave full.

    Aerodynamic fleet

    Aero-pack tractors (Freightliner Cascadia and equivalent) with aero side skirts, gap fairings, and low-rolling-resistance tires standard on line-haul units.

    Idle reduction

    Auxiliary power units, idle-shutdown programming, and driver training to keep engines off when trucks are stationary at terminals and rest areas.

  • 03

    Route & load optimization

    Dispatch routes to minimize empty miles. Cross-dock consolidation keeps trailers full both directions, including backhauls.
